| Brittany Murphy Sick and Vomiting Just Before She Died |
[20 Dec 2009|11:47pm] |

Brittany Murphy was very ill in the hours before she went into cardiac arrest and died, sources tell TMZ.
We're told Murphy was taking prescription meds for flu-like symptoms she had been experiencing for several days. We're told Murphy began vomiting early Sunday morning and told family members she was feeling very ill.
Sources say various prescriptions were found in the home -- written for Brittany Murphy, husband Simon Monjack, and Brittany's mom. One source says, "There were a lot ... a lot of prescriptions in the house."
Law enforcement sources tell us Murphy collapsed in the bathroom and somehow ended up in the shower ... there was, we're told, a significant amount of vomit in the immediate area.
We're also told authorities did not find illegal drugs in the house, but Murphy was definitely taking various prescription meds.
Sources say her condition and the meds could have triggered a heart attack, but it's too early to know. An autopsy will be performed Monday or Tuesday. We reported earlier Monjack did not want an autopsy but ultimately it's the Coroner's call.
As we first reported, Brittany Murphy's mother told paramedics her daughter suffered from diabetes. We're told it was type 2 diabetes and people involved in the case doubt her condition caused her death.

Kevin Federline lost out on a role in the latest American Pie movie – playing himself.
"They called me up and asked if I was interested," Federline, 31, tells PEOPLE. "I was up for a different part originally, but then they didn't want me playing myself. I think they thought it would be funnier for me as a Canadian border guard."
One day of shooting on location in Vancouver later, Federline was transformed, donning a hat, uniform and badge for his cameo in American Pie Presents: The Book of Love, out on DVD on Dec. 22.
Newly svelte from his appearance on Celebrity Fit Club, Federline is ready and available for more work. "If anybody has any more cameos – or actual roles they want to me in – that would be great," he says. – Mike Fleeman

| Brittany Murphy’s Father Speaks Out: “I Loved Her Very Much” |
[21 Dec 2009|12:07am] |

Angelo Bertolotti, father to the recently-passed Brittany Murphy, remembers his daughter’s outgoing, sweet personality after he learns of her death from his son on Sunday in Fla. according to the Associated Press.
“She was just an absolute doll since she was born…Her personality was always outward. Everybody loved her — people that made movies with her, people on a cruise — they all loved her. She was just a regular gall,” Bertolotti tells AP.
Although he hadn’t seen his daughter in quite some time after he divorced her mother when she was still young, Angelo will always care about Brittany.
“She was just talented…And, I loved her very much,” Bertolotti reveals to AP.
The shocked father, who admits to AP that he used to be a part of the mob and he himself served a prison sentence for federal drug charges, didn’t know much more about why his daughter had passed.

| Third Jackass Coming in 3D on Oct. 15 2010 : A New Dimension Of Stupid |
[20 Dec 2009|11:41pm] |

The third installment of "Jackass" from Paramount Pictures and MTV Films will hit theaters on October 15, 2010, this time in eye-popping 3D. Johnny Knoxville and the boys will begin shooting in late January with Dickhouse Production's Jeff Tremaine at the helm and producing alongside Spike Jonze and Knoxville.
The addition of 3D to the new film will raise the mayhem factor to new heights, promises star/producer Johnny Knoxville. "We're going to take the same 3D technology James Cameron used in 'Avatar' and stick it up Steve O's butt. We're taking stupid to a whole new dimension."
2002's Jackass: The Movie earned more than more than $64 million and was heralded as "a disgusting, repulsive, grotesque spectacle, but also hilarious and provocative. God help me, thumbs up" by esteemed critic Richard Roeper. Released in 2006, Jackass: Number Two earned over $72 million and was heralded by The New York Times as being "debased, infantile and reckless in the extreme, this compendium of body bravado and malfunction makes for some of the most fearless, liberated and cathartic comedy in modern movies."

[20 Dec 2009|09:25pm] |
When Will White People Stop Making Movies Like "Avatar"?
Critics have called alien epic Avatar a version of Dances With Wolves because it's about a white guy going native and becoming a great leader. But Avatar is just the latest scifi rehash of an old white guilt fantasy.
( Spoilers... )
I thought that this was an interesting article since so many ONTD members have been making this same point about the movie ever since the plot was revealed.
